Festival Wind at Simitçi Mıstık

The fourth edition of the International Kaleiçi Old Town Festival, organized by Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality to provide awareness about Kaleiçi and the old cities and to bring the old cities together, will be held this year between 10-13 October 2019.

Simitçi Mıstık Gallery will be one of the event points of the festival, which will take place in the historical fabric of Kaleiçi, where history, culture, art and entertainment are intertwined.

Simitçi Mıstık Gallery hosts a mixed watercolor painting exhibition of painter Ercan Paya and Antalyalı Watercolor Artists, “Kaleiçi in Colors” during the festival; A watercolor workshop will be held on October 11 under the direction of the artist Paya. The workshop will be open to everyone who wants to experience watercolor painting in Kaleiçi.

Simitçi Mıstık Gallery's last program within the scope of the festival was dedicated to Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, a 1918 Antalya High School graduate, who was one of the literati whose way was through Antalya.

Simitçi Mıstık Gallery, which opens its doors to literary lovers every month, will include Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's 'Peace' and 'Time Regulation Institute' books at the festival meeting. During the meeting, Assoc. Dr. Cihan Camcı's presentation and talk titled “The Time Regulation Institute, The Cruelty of the Comic in Tanpınar” will be held.

The curator of Simitçi Mıstık Gallery, Olcay Okutan said, “This year, our third year at the festival, we participate in the festival every year with a richer program. Being one of the event points of the festival gives us great happiness and adds color. I attach great importance to the artists and art venues living in Kaleiçi, with workshops, galleries or meeting points, to take part in the festival with their own unique programs. ”
